Yoghurt
1 Litre Goats Milk
½ cup natural thick yoghurt (unsweetened)
Heat the milk to 40° – 42°C.
Add the yoghurt and mix well.
Place in a sterilised container, wrap with a cloth.
Keep warm for 8 – 12 hours or until yoghurt has thickened.
For thicker yoghurt, ½ cup of powdered milk can be added when heating the milk.
Hint: If a bread machine is available, put the mix in the bread tin and set to ‘Bake’ for one minute every hour for 8 hours, (careful not to mix or knead) then refrigerate overnight to set.
Add your favourite fruit and jam or honey to sweeten if desired.
