Easy Custard Slice
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons custard powder
2 eggs
700 ml goat’s milk
1 dessertspoon butter
2 sheets Puff pastry
Beat eggs, custard powder and sugar together.
Gradually add the milk, mixing well.
Stir over medium heat until thick and bubbling. Whisk until smooth.
Remove from heat and add butter.
Cover surface of custard with plastic wrap so a skin won’t form on custard.
Allow to cool.
While custard is cooling, cook pastry at 220°C for 5-10 minutes.
Place one sheet of pastry in base of dish, top with custard, then second sheet of pastry. Add icing to top if desired, but not necessary.
